Program Description

The Medical Education pre-course features didactic lectures and workshops by seasoned faculty on key topics in medical education including assessment and remediation. It also offers an opportunity for participants to improve their teaching skills in evidence-based medicine and clinical reasoning. For those in medical education leadership, there will be sessions dedicated to sharing best practices on topics such as faculty development and mentorship.

Learning objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to

1. Describe effective methods of teaching evidence-based medicine to trainees.
2. Articulate how to perform learner needs assessment in various educational
3. Cite strategies to teach to different learners in a group setting
4. Employ giving feedback to struggling learners


Target Audience

This CME program is designed to meet the educational needs of Hospital Medicine Physicians, Fellows and Residents.
